La Villa, Puducherry, India

per person
Untitled-2

An intimate boutique hotel nestled in Pondicherry’s French Quarter, La Villa is a classic, refurbished 19th-century mansion with colonial facades, white walls, and earthy interiors. The hotel offers a simplistic escape, with comfortable rooms and suites, and access to an outdoor pool surrounded by a lush garden.

Each of the spacious rooms have a rustic atmosphere, and feature contemporary furnishings made from old wood. There are only six rooms and suites, designed in neutral hues, and each comes fully equipped with a flat screen TV, free WiFi, coffee and tea making facilities, and a private bathroom with rain showers.

An all-purpose dining option, the hotel’s restaurant has a niche arrangement, and sits in the garden beneath the arches of the hotel. The menu has Indian and French fare, with fresh local flavours and ingredients that change seasonally. The restaurant’s ambience is comforting and elegant, with decor accents of fine porcelain, period silver cutlery, crystal and other natural materials.
