TOUR LOCATION

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Riveting/Fascinating facts about the area:
  • As the largest city in central Vietnam, Danang – which is located south of Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi – is one of the most important ports in the country. More than 95% of the city’s population practises Buddhism, and speaks both Vietnamese and English.
  • Danang has only two seasons in a year, with well-balanced temperatures – a wet season, that runs between mid-September–mid-December; and a dry season, that lasts for the rest of the year.

Interesting people:

Meet the artist, Dinh Q. Lê, who has exhibited fine works of art at Whitechapel Gallery, London; MoMa, New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and dOCUMENTA(13) in Kassel. Born in Ha Tien, he escaped Vietnam at a very young age with his family, and migrated to the United States of America. His works, which include multimedia installations and photo-weavings, draw from personal history rooted in the evolution of Vietnam’s war, with significant political references. Today, he lives in Ho Chi Minh City, where he has – among other things – co-founded Sàn Art, a contemporary, non-profit art space.
