The plush and swanky Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is located near the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the River Thames. This historic building, which was the 1922 headquarters of the Port of London Authority, was badly damaged during the Blitz. A little while later the building provided office space to an insurance company before falling into disrepair and disuse in the 1990s. Now, for the first time the public will be able to explore the building in nearly 20 years.
Once past the building’s soaring Corinthian columns, guests can enter the Rotunda Lounge, a cylindrical lobby area that immediately references the address’s maritime heritage. Carvings on the walls, each segment with its own wreath and crest, pay tribute to trading partners from Canada to India. Other engravings provide testaments to commerce, transport and navigation.
Set on the building’s ground floor to third floor, this hotel’s accommodations include 11 spacious suites. Among the highlights are the hotel’s Heritage Suites, each with five-metre (16-foot) ceilings, ornate original plasterwork and a working fireplace.
Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square offers two destination restaurants – French and Asian as well as The Rotunda, the hotel’s all-day restaurant, bar and lounge. Tower Bridge is 500 m from Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, while St Paul’s Cathedral is a 20 minute walk away.
