The town and municipality of Dorado sits north of Puerto Rico, spanning the Atlantic Ocean, and the town is well-known for its golf courses, hotels, and beaches.
A big chunk of its geology consists of alluvial and coastal sediments of the Quaternary age. Its limestones, which are of the Tertiary age, have been subjected to extensive quarrying that have left scars on the stunning landscape.

Interesting people:

Meet Luis Alberto Ferre Rangel, the Editor of the famous Puerto Rican newspaper, El Nuevo Dia. The charismatic Rangel studied History at Amherst College, and then completed his Masters in Communication from Boston University. Today, he runs the 108 year-old spanish publication, El Nuevo Día, which means ‘The New Day’ – a newspaper that has the highest circulation in Puerto Rico, publishing over 200,000 daily copies for a readership of around 1.2 million people.
