TOUR LOCATION

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Riveting / Fascinating facts about the area:
  • Crosby Street was named after the millionaire and philanthropist, William Bedloe Crosby, who came from a wealthy line of land-owning ancestors. Sadly, he died before the street was named after him, and never actually owned the land.
  • Although Crosby Street is part of the hipster neighborhood of SoHo today – with its chic selection of shops hidden in old factories, popular eateries and commercial, tourist hubs – it was once a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood that offered a glimpse into the bygone artistic character of the original SoHo.

Interesting people:

Meet the remarkable Japanese chef, Daisuke Nakazawa, who runs the sleek Sushi Nakazawa, one of the finest West Village sushi bars in New York. Nakazawa was apprentice to the world’s most distinguished sushi chef, Jiro Ono, and even starred in the documentary, Jiro Dreams Of Sushi, which follows Ono’s life as owner of a Michelin three-star restaurant, with Nakazawa as his modest apprentice.
