Nestled in the grand wilderness of Chobe National Park, this posh retreat brings guests close to Botswana’s game-rich landscape, and to the solitude of nature. Home to some of the largest elephant herds in the African continent, the park is among the great game reserves of the world.
Located in the far north of Botswana near the Chobe River, the hotel has mobile safari tents with ensuite bathrooms in secluded camps, interspersed with meandering animal trails, and these camps move to different sites every few days, in an attempt to continuously explore fresh game.
Each spacious canvas tent has plush, comfortable double beds with crisp linens, and an ensuite bathroom that comes with a steaming bucket of hot water. The shared areas comprise of bright tents where guests can have a couple of drinks and dine together beneath the vast skies – flavoursome meals are cooked over coals, and shared around a blazing fire – or simply unwind between game drives with a favourite book and a refreshing beer. Shaded verandas allows guests to laugh around the fire, and enjoy the small joys of African bush life in tranquil isolation.
