The famous Robert Mondavi founded his wine estate here in 1965. His was the first large scale winery in the valley since after prohibition. Following his establishment, the wineries in the valley began to rapidly grow, and the region became one of the most famous wine valleys in the world.

Born and brought up in Portugal, Ana’s passion for agriculture and winemaking has been nurtured from an early age, when she learned how to plant vines with her family back in Europe. Her experience with old-world winemaking has propelled her towards exploring a variety of vineyards and olive groves in different regions of the world, giving her an international approach on the subject. A true wine connoisseur, Ana would be an exceptional person to meet while staying in Napa Valley.
