It’s glamorous and has a big beach scene with some first class surfing. Melbourne is known for its cultural scene and is a foodies heaven. Brisbane the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and with such a relaxed way of living.

Step inland and it’s like a whole different country. A must visit is Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock in the heart of the country. Coober Pedy is where to go if you have a love of opals and with its unusual living arrangements, all underground, this would be a unique stay. If pearls are your thing, then the Kimberley’s and Broome are you must visit places. If you love nature then you are in nature’s paradise, with Kakadu National Park, Fraser Island and Daintree National Park.  One good way if seeing some  of this is by travelling on the Ghan. A luxury train that starts in Adelaide in the south and goes up to Darwin in the north.

December is the most popular month to visit Australia and especially Sydney for the New Year Celebrations, for the best hotels with the best views you are better booking this trip of a lifetime well in advance.
